LED lighting upgrade to Flight Centre
We worked alongside the managers at Flight Centre to upgrade their lighting to deliver significant financial and energy savings to their business. Each LED lighting upgrade also helped to create a brighter and more vivid store to increase exposure of the business, products sold and help drive sales.
The Sustainability Solutions Managers at Power Save were able to provide detailed information to each store owner prior to installation on what the financial and energy savings would be and when they were likely to see a return on investment.
Facility upgrade across Flight Centre stores
Since working with Flight Centre, we have:
- Upgraded 76 Flight Centre locations.
- Saved an estimated $113,000 on energy usage across their upgraded stores.
- Delivered a 12 month return on investment for many of their stores.
- Created estimated savings of up to $24,762 projected over a 10 year period – for stores such as Flight Centre Edgecliff.

Flight Centre Edgecliff upgraded the retail and staffroom areas of their store.
Their upgrade included replacing:
- 12 x 150W Metal Halide shop lighters to 12 x 20W LED downlights,
- 10 x 36W Fluorescent troffers with 7 LED slimline panels and;
- 8 x 35W halogen downlights with 8 x 11W LED downlights.
This amounted to a financial saving of $24,762 over the course of the year, an 81% saving in their annual energy consumption and a return on investment which was seen in under four months.
